ABOUT Neville Dance Theatre...

Hailed as “compelling”, “imaginative”, and “pure delight” by both critics and reviewers alike, Neville Dance Theatre excels in blending elements of diverse dance styles, such as Flamenco and Argentine Tango, alongside contemporary and classical ballet in theatrical and innovative new works and educational programs.

Whether performing contemporary pieces, traditional ethnic vignettes, or full length ballets - including a 21st century, multi-media Nutcracker and an original ‘Days of the Dead’ Halloween ballet Memento Muerto, the vibrant company enlists the limitlessness of dance as a means of international expression and communication to explore and celebrate the similarities and differences of world cultural traditions and the human spirit.

Founded in 2005 by Brenda R. Neville, the Brooklyn/Manhattan based company of 6-12 dancers and guests from around the world perform New York City seasons, concerts, festival performances and touring engagements for audiences of all ages and ethnicities. The company was founded as a means of opening cross-cultural dialogues between dance genres and nationalities, to foster an artistic exchange of styles, outlooks and attitudes, and to instill an appreciation for the beauty, value and significance of dance as a living art form for generations to come.

Neville Dance Theatre is fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas and Dance Theatre Workshop, both 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organizations.
